Austin Homeopathy: Homeoprophylaxis (HP)

Are there really alternatives to vaccination? With so many people stating the science is clear that vaccines work, why should we care that alternatives exist? 

That's an answer beholden only to you, but what is important to mention is that when it comes to your health and well being, you have a choice!

One such choice I offer is called homeoprophylaxis, or HP.

HP is an evidence-based method of protection from disease and infection. It works by building and strengthening the immune system of the body. HP is rooted in the art and science of homeopathy and has been used throughout the world for hundreds of years to treat and prevent contagious, infectious disease. 

Minute doses of specially prepared substances made from pathogen sources are introduced into the body to elicit an immune response. The defense mechanism of the body becomes educated in learning how to recognize, adapt, and respond to that pathogen when it comes into contact with it in the natural environment. A strengthened immune system occurs as a result.

Is HP safe?

Yes! Because the doses are infinitesimally small, what is introduced into the body is only the energetic imprint of that pathogen, and not the diseased substance itself. HP remedies, or nosodes, are prepared in FDA-regulated facilities. One advantage of HP is that the remedies contain no preservatives, adjuvants, antibiotics, fetal tissue cells, or additives, which are all used in the preparation of vaccines.

Is HP effective?

There are many research studies which demonstrate HP's effectiveness, and this list is not exhaustive:

• In the 1980's and 1990's, a 15-year longitudinal study was completed in Australia by Dr. Issac Golden. The results found a 91% efficacy rate for HP.
• A leptospirosis study done in 2007 found HP to be 80% effective in controlling that epidemic in Cuba.
• A 1998 Brazilian study showed HP was 95% effective for protection from meningococcal disease.

But, vaccines work. Look at the eradication of polio, for instance. So, why should we care that there are alternatives?

Whether or not vaccines work isn't the point of the information found in this blog. What I do hope to communicate, though, is that there are alternatives. You, as a parent, or educated consumer of health care, have a choice in what you put into your, or your children's, body. As such, I want to mention there is a safe, non-toxic, and effective method available to you called homeoprophylaxis.
